- Linux - the document has been written with the Linux Operating System in mind.
- Unix - the document has been written with any Unix Operating System in mind. Please note that this also implies Linux.
- Windows - the document has been written with the Microsoft Windows Operating System in mind.
- Any - the document has been written with no particular Operating System in mind (mostly product specific documents).
